Marvel Legends Giant Man series review

I mentioned earlier this week that it was pretty unsual that I would have four reviews in one week all on superheroes. I reviewed the Hobgoblin and Spider Hulk on Sunday night, The DC Superheroes Superman and the Black and White Mignola Batman statue on Tuesday night, and today it's the entire Wal-mart exclusive Marvel Legends Giant Man series. Of course, when I say 'entire', I mean sans variants.

I think this is also the very first time in the history of my reviews, going back to 1994, that I ever tried to do 9 figures in a single review. I must have been off my meds. But there's a ton of text, and even more photos, for you to check out. You can find all the reviews at the usual:

Last night, my 5 year old son was playing with the figures. He holds up Antman and says "Daddy, what's this guy's super power?". "Well son, he shrinks down to the size of an ant." "Oh, so like, I could squish him?". "Uh, yes son, pretty much."

I rest my case.

However, Dr. Pym was never a stable Super Hero so his powers where often used by others. The Ant-Man that died recently was not Dr. Pym but he was using Pym's name and helmet.

Aside from being Giant Man and Ant-Man, Dr. Pym has also taken on the titles Goliath and Yellow Jacket (which he is currently using).

To date there have been at least 3 other people using the Giant Man / Goliath serum and name and 1 person under the name Ant-Man.

And no, I do not believe he can go to atom size.

Yea, that head sculpt is actually based on the guy that stole Pym's stuff, right? I didn't think it was actually Pym that this character was.

And I thought he had to use the helmet to get small...isn't that how this other guy used the power?

The character has always been ridiculous.

I honestly don't know who it's based on, but it would make sense it if was Scott Lang since we've already gotten a Pym Ant-Man and Yellow Jacket.

And no, Pym Particles are used to grow and shrink, the helmut it strickly insect (mostly ants) control.

Actually, the Red is the Giant Man suit. Goliath was Blue and Yellow, just like the ML Chase figure a while back...
